The Design Process

01. Book Your Spot

Firstly we’ll get to know more about your brand, vision and design goals over the phone or email. Once we’ve decide we’re a great match, we’ll send you a design proposal and contract for you to sign off on as well as an invoice for a non- refundable 50% deposit required to secure your project time slot in our calendar.

02. Research & Art Direction

We’ll send you a brand questionnaire to be completed before the project start date. You’ll provide us with details on your brand values, purpose, goals and target market. We’ll ask you to create a Pinterest board to help us understand your desired aesthetic. We’ll then create a mood board to confirm your art direction and act as the project brief. We’ll explore potential fonts and colour palettes as well!

03. Design Development

Now for the exciting part where we develop 2-3 logo concepts, starting with your primary logo. Once you’ve chosen a concept, we’ll roll with this design, creating alternative logos, submark and icons. We’ll ask for your feedback along the way and you’ll have 2 business days to respond.

04. Additional Designs

If you’ve opted one of our larger packages, we’ll continue to create your additional de- signs, based on the approved branding. We’ll also create your brand style guide outlining logo usage, colour codes and font usage. It’ll be your go to guide when it comes to design and branding in your business!

06. Final Artwork & Delivery

Now that all designs are complete, we’ll package up your files and save them out for web, print and in all brand colours. You’ll pay the remaining 50% before we release the dropbox link with your final files. Then it’s time to celebrate and get excited about your launch! We cannot wait to see you shine!

 

 FAQs

 

+ Why do I need an alternate logo, submark and icon? Do you create single logos?

Great question! Having one single logo to represent your business is not practical. You’ll most likely find your primary logo isn’t suitable for certain mediums and purposes. This is why we offer the Brand Suite Package, so that we can deliver a complete logo package that provides you with variations to suit any space or medium you come across in your business. The logo you use for your instagram profile will most likely be different to the logo you put on your swing tags. We’ve written a whole blog post on this topic which you can read here.

+ What’s a Brand Style guide?

This is your brand bible that outlines correct logo usage, font usage, colour codes and provides guidelines on your brand voice and general aesthetic. It shows you on how to use each logo file type and how to use your branding in context. We develop brand style guides because we don’t want to leave you feeling overwhelmed and unsure how to correctly utilise the branding that you’ve just invested in. It’s also a helpful reference document for anyone you employ or collaborate with.

+ What do I need to prepare for the project?

You need to have a solid understanding of your business goals and target audience, having done some solid market research. You must have some general ideas on how you want your brand to be presented with some references to visuals or a Pinterest board. You’ll need all of this information to fill out the brand questionnaire before the project commences. To create print material we will need some artwork specifications or templates from your manufacturer. We may also need high resolution photography for online content.

+ How does payment work?

We require a non-refundable 50% deposit payment to book your project spot with us. The remaining 50% is due prior to releasing final artwork files to you. Please let us know if you would like to discuss an alternative payment plan.

+ What final logos will I receive at the end of the project?

You will receive 60+ final logo files consisting of JPGs, PNGs and Ai files in all of your brand colourways for print and online purposes.

+ Do you provide printing services?

We are a creative studio only and do not offer printing services. We can however recommend some printing companies that we have worked with in the past or have herd great things about!
