So you’ve built up an email list and you’re ready to start sending out email campaigns… You start creating a plan for what you want to send out that month… New arrivals, back in stock…. And you’ve hit a wall. It’s great to let your customers know what’s new and what’s back, but it’s not enough to keep them engaged or feeling inspired by your brand. So I’ve put together a list of email themes and ideas to help you along with your email marketing plan! Remember, the goal is to make them feel instantly transported into your brand when they click onto your email, so an  engaging theme combined with a creative layout is the perfect recipe for this!

For Fashion brands…

These ideas would work for any fashion label, swimwear label, activewear label, sleepwear/intimates label.

  1. Feature your top 5 best sellers with customer reviews alongside them. It’s a great way to justify why they’re your best sellers.

  2. What colours are selling well for your brand at the moment? Do an edit featuring some best sellers in shades of this colour.

  3. Pick out a key item in your latest range and highlight its features, how it fits and its fabrication.

  4. Do an ‘As seen on’ featuring some recent influencer shots to inspire your customer.

  5. Take one key item in your latest range and show the customer what you can match it with or how to accessorise it. Maybe it’s a key basic in your range that can be paired with many other items in that collection.

  6. Do a behind the scenes of the making of your latest collection. It could be of your photoshoot and how you worked with the photographer and model to tell the story of your new collection. Maybe it’s behind the scenes of how the print design was created. Either way, this can help the customer connect with the story of your collection.

  7. Think about your target market. Where do they go? What do they do? Create an email edit that inspires your custom’s outfit choice for their next big event. For example you could do; The Festival Edit, Euro Vacay Vibes, Your next dinner date sorted, Out top party dress picks….

  8. Keep themes around special holidays and dates that are coming up. For example Valentines Day (feature pink, red, white outfits), Halloween (black outfits), or Christmas (festive outfits).
